BW's Bender and Mount Union's Goedecke named to CoSIDA Academic All-America Div. III Soccer Team

Austin, Texas-Baldwin Wallace junior forward Rachel Bender (Massillon/Jackson) and Mount Union senior forward Katie Goedecke (Cuyahoga Falls/Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary) have been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Women's Soccer Academic All-America Team.

Bender, who was named to the second team, is a communications sciences and disorders major with a 3.93 GPA. She is a Dean's List student and a two-time Academic All-OAC selection.

This season, Bender earned her third First Team All-OAC selection and was named Forward of the Year after leading the conference in goals (16), points (40) and shots (115).

Goedecke is a mathematics major with a 3.90 GPA and is a three time Academic All-OAC selection. She started in all 18 games, while scoring eight goals and two assists on the year.
