April 23, 2018 Abby Cosart Baldwin Wallace Cosart posted a 4-0 record last week to help BW sweep three OAC doubleheaders. She made four appearances with three complete games with an ERA of 1.93. Cosart allowed 10 runs (eight earned) on 30 hits with seven strikeouts.
April 16, 2018 Jordan Pallay, Marietta Pallay had four multiple-hit games helping the Pioneers to a 5-1 record last week. She went a combined 3-for-7 with six runs batted in, three runs scored, two doubles and one home run in Marietta's sweep at Capital. Pallay was 2-for-3 with four RBI, one double and one home run in Pioneers 5-0 win over Wilmington in the first game of a doubleheader sweep. For the week, Pallay hit. 450 and posted a .950 slugging percentage. She drove in 11 runs and finished with four doubles and a pair of three-run home runs.
April 16, 2018 Kaitlin Surdej, Ohio Northern Surdej threw two complete game vicotries last week to help the Polar Bears to a 4-0 record on the week. In 13 innings of work she posted a 1.08 ERA and 10 strikeouts. 
April 9, 2018 Gabby Stewart Ohio Northern Stewart batted .529 with 11 RBI, three doubles and a home run to help the Polar Bears to a 5-1 record last week. In the second contest of ONU's double header sweep over Capital, Stewart was three-for-three with two RBI, two runs scored, two doubles, a home run and seven RBI.
April 9, 2018 Jennifer Patterson John Carroll Patterson posted a 4-0 record, including a complete game shutout, and finished the week with a 1.25 ERA. In 22.1 innings of work, Patterson gave up just four earned funs, struck out seven and walked nine.
April 2, 2018 Jenna Hollar Ohio Northern Hollar led the way offensively for the Polar Bears, recording eight hits and scoring three runs in four games. She hit an impressive .571 and stole three bases. ONU finished the week with a 4-0 record.

March 26, 2018 Bailey McElwain Otterbein McElwain batted .800 (8-for-10) as the Cardinals swept both Wittenberg and Mount Union to secure ten straight wins. McElwain began the week with a 3-for-4 performance against Wittenberg in which she hit a double and scored three runs, before going 5-for-6 with two home runs and a double against Mount Union.

March 19, 2018 Grace Shell Wilmington Shell won three of her four starts during the Quakers spring trip to Florida last week. In total, Shell pitched 26 innings with 19 strikeouts and scattering 23 hits and five walks. Wilmington finished the trip with a 6-2 record.
March 19, 2018 Reagan Tom Marietta Tom hit safely in nine of 10 games, with seven multiple-hit games, during the Pioneers spring trip to Florida. On the week, Tom batted .500, with 18 hits in 36 at bats. She had four doubles and one triple. Tom scored three runs and drove in 11 more and was three-for three in stolen bases. Marietta went 7-3 on the week.
March 12, 2018 Karsyn Shaffer Muskingum Shaffer helped the Muskies to a 11-1 record at the D9 Sunkissed Games down in Florida. Shaffer posted a .638 batting average with 30 hits in 47 at-bats, 19 runs scored, eight RBIs, two doubles, and a triple during the week. Shaffer started off her college career by going 9-for-9 at the plate with five runs scored, two RBIs, and a triple during the first two games.
March 12, 2018 Hannah Duff Muskingum Duff helped the Muskies to a 11-1 record at the D9 Sunkissed Games down in Florida. Duff posted a perfect 6-0 record in 29.0 innings, with 12 strikeouts, which included a season-high six against Wheaton (Mass.), allowed just six runs, and finished the week with a 0.97 ERA
March 5, 2018 Bailey Walter, Capital The Crusaders opened their season with eight games in Florida. Walter led the team, batting .423 (11-of-26) with three runs, a triple and three RBI. Walters also posted a .464 on-base percentage.

April 24, 2017 Gabby Johnson, Otterbein Johnson improve to 13-0 on the year after tossing a pair of complete-game shutouts, blanking Wilmington 3-0 in seven innings, giving up just three hits and striking out four. She held Mount Union scoreless while striking out 10.
April 17, 2017 Carly Simecek, John Carroll Simecek helped the Blue Streaks to a 7-1 record last week, batting .541 (13-of-24) with nine runs, a double, three home runs and nine RBI. Simecek posted five multi-hit games and reached base safely in all eight games. Simecek reach the 100 career RBI mark after hitting two home runs and driving in four against Otterbein. She also moved to second in program history with 24 career homeruns.

She began the week with a 3-0 shutout of Marietta, fanning seven batters, before striking out nine and allowing just one run in the team's 3-1 defeat of John Carroll.

Her two home runs came in a sweep over Marietta as she had a two-run home run in the first and a single-run home run in the second. Riley also went 6-for-10 with three doubles and three RBI against Ohio Northern.
April 3, 2017 Kayla Wild-Capital Wild tossed four complete games and posted a 4-0 record last week. In 28 innings, Wild struck out 11, walked 10 and posted a 1.25 ERA. Wild threw two complete-game shutouts against John Carroll and Wilmington, in which she combined for 14 innings, allowing just five hits, walked three and struck out 5.
April 3, 2017 Kristen Mellott-Capital Mellott hit safely in six of eight games, which generated a six-game hit streak in that time streak. She had two hits in four of those six games. Against Wilmington, Mellott went a combined 4-for-6 with two doubles, one RBI and one walk in a two-game split. Previous to that, she posted two RBIs in a game one win over JCU in which she went 2-for-3 with two doubles in that game. Over the weekend, she finished with a batting average of .500 (10-20), four RBIs, six walks, a slugging percentage of .700 and an on-base percentage of .615.
March 27, 2017 Kirsten Lightel-Ohio Northern Lightel allowed just nine hits in two complete games, while striking out seven batters and allowing just two runs and posting an ERA of 0.58 for the week.

March 21, 2017 Maddie Flasco-Otterbein Flasco batted an impressive .833 to help the Cardinals post a pair of run-rule wins over Kenyon on Sunday. In game one, she went 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBI. In game two, Flasco went 2-for-2 with a walk, a double, two RBI and three runs scored.
March 21, 2017 Rachael Owens-Otterbein Owens allowed just four hits, one earned run and struck out five batters in five innings in the Cardinals' 10-2 win over Kenyon.
March 13, 2017 Hailee Loughman-Ohio Northern Loughman led the Polar Bears in doubles, and RBI during their spring trip. She batted .371 (13-of-35) with six runs, 14 RBI, four doubles and two homeruns. ONU finished the trip with an 11-1 record.

May 2, 2016 Andi Vansickle, Mount Union Mount Union senior Andi Vansickle (Loudonville/Loudonville) batted .833 and went 6-5 hitting three home runs and a double to lead the Purple Raiders to a split with Wilmington. Vansickle tallied four RBI in the double header to tie the school record for RBI in a season with 46.
May 2, 2016 Ally Kleinhans, John Carroll John Carroll senior Ally Kleinhans (Washington, PA/McGuffey) was named OAC Co-Hitter of the Week for her triumphant return to the softball diamond Saturday in the annual "Strike Out Cancer" game at Bracken Field against Marietta College. Kleinhans, who has missed parts or all of three seasons of softball during her six years at John Carroll due to complications associated with Hodgkins Lymphoma, collected a single in one of her four at bats. Although her health prevented her from playing a full season in her final year of eligibility, she spent months working toward a goal of getting at least one at bat on her senior day, and fulfilled that goal Saturday.
April 25, 2016 Kylie Asmus, Ohio Northern (Hitter) Ohio Northern freshman Kylie Asmus (Haskins/Otsego) led ONU last week going 14-for-24 at the plate with six RBIs and six runs scored. She led the team hitting a .583 average, while going 5-for-9 with a triple in a double header with Heidelberg. She also found success at the plate in the Polar Bears sweep of Baldwin Wallace, going 4-for-7 with two RBIs.
April 25, 2016 Kristina LaRocca, Marietta (Pitcher) Marietta sophomore Kristina LaRocca (Strasburg/Franklin) threw two complete games last week earning a pair of pitching victories. She did not allow an earned run in 14 innings of work and gave up just one extra base hit as opponents batted .167 against her. At Capital, LaRocca scattered four hits and struck out two in Marietta's 4-1 win. She followed that with another four-hit outing, all singles, in the Pioneer's 8-1 victory over Wilmington.
April 18, 2016 Maddie Flasco, Otterbein (Hitter) Otterbein sophomore Maddie Flasco (Copley) batted .563 (18-for-32) with two RBI and 10 runs scored on six doubles, one home run and a walk. She had six multi-hit games, including four three-hit outings. The Cardinals finished the week an 8-0 record and is now 12-0 in OAC play.
April 18, 2016 Rachael Owens, Otterbein (Pitcher) Otterbein sophomore Rachael Owens (Yorkville, Ill./Yorkville) recorded a 4-0 record in 29 innings of work. She allowed just two earned runs and three walks en route to four complete-games, while also picking up a save at Marietta. To compliment her strong pitching performance, Owens hit .321 with nine runs batted in and six runs scored while also connecting on a two-out, walk-off, three run home run that helped complete the doubleheader sweep of cross-town rival Capital.

Against Baldwin Wallace and Wilmington, Kirchner allowed a combined six hits. Only one of those hits was for extra bases. She struck out seven and walked six in working complete games.
April 4, 2016 Megan Garner, Otterbein (Hitter) Otterbein sophomore Megan Garner (Cincinnati/Finneytown) batted .769 (10-for-13), helping the team post a 2-1-1 overall record, which included a doubleheader sweep of Baldwin Wallace by scores of 8-0 and 12-1. She was 5-for-6 against the Yellow Jackets and also went a combined 5-for-7 in a twin bill at Kenyon, ripping off three doubles and driving in four runs.

Speakman then went 4-for-8 with a double, seven RBI and a run in a sweep of Muskingum.
March 28, 2016 Rachael Owens, Otterbein (Pitcher) Otterbein sophomore Rachael Owens (Yorkville, Ill.) tossed seven innings and struck out four batters against Wittenberg on Wednesday. On friday she threw seven innings against Muskingum, allowing just one run. The Cardinals went 4-0 on the week.

Mitsch drove in six runs and scored five runs as Heidelberg finished the week with a 5-1 record.

March 15, 2016 Samantha Dostall, Baldwin Wallace (Pitcher) Baldwin Wallace junior pitcher Samantha Dostall (Oberlin/Firelands) posted a 2-1 record in four appearances. She finished the week with a 1.38 ERA, allowing just four runs and striking out 26. Dostall pitched two shutout victories against Farmingdale State (N.Y.) College (5-0) and Beloit (Wis.) College (4-0) to end her spring break trip. She recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts in the win versus Farmingdale State with just one walk. Dostall gave up just one hit in the victory against Beloit. This is the second week Dostall has earned OAC Pitcher of the Week honors.

March 1, 2016 Rachael Owens, Otterbein (Pitcher) Otterbein sophomore Rachael Owens (Yorkville, Ill) has posted a 3-0 record during the Cardinals's Spring Trip. After holding Houghton (N.Y.) to just one hit in an 16-0 win on Saturday, Owens tossed a no-hitter against York (Pa.) striking out nine batters and walking just one in an 11-0 victory on Monday.nOwens then picked up her third win of the year after the Cardinals edged Wartburg (Iowa), 2-1, scattering seven batters in seven innings of work.
April 27, 2015 Softball Players of the Week -Hitter Capital senior Kelsey Swain (Pickerington/Pickerington North.) batted .652 (15-of-23) with 10 runs, five RBI and three triples to help the Crusaders to a 3-3 record on the week and an appearance in the OAC Tournament. She hit safely in five of six games and was five of five in stolen bases. Swain became the Capital and the OAC single-season runs scored and triple leader. She now ranks second on the Crusaders’ all-time career runs score list.
April 27, 2015 Softball Player of the Week-Pitcher John Carroll sophomore Ann Marie Kirchner (Medina) recorded a win and a save in a sweep of Marietta to help the Blue Streaks to the No. 4 seed in OAC Tournament. Kirchner allowed just six hits and struck out five in game one and came in to get the last out in game two. On the week, Kirchner posted 10 hits, three runs, 11 strikes and no walks in 10 innings of work.
