Women's Swimming:  Swimmers-of-the-Week

November 5

Women- Baldwin-Wallace senior Stephanie Markley (Mansfield) placed first in the 200 breaststroke (2:37.87) and the 200 free relay (1:48.33) vs. Oberlin last week.  Markley also led the team past Wilmington with a first place finish in the 50 free (26.96), the 100 breaststroke (1:11.74) and the 200 medley relay (2:01.80)

November 12

Women- Ohio Northern sophomore Katie Moore (Chicago/Marian Catholic) led the Polar Bears against Hillsdale last week with a first place finish in the 50 free(25.78), and two second place finishes in the 100 free (56.66) and the 400 free relay (3:5615).

November 19

Women- Mount Union freshman Jessica Shetler (Alliance/St. Thomas Aquinas) led the Raiders against St. Vincent and Chatham this past weekend. She took first in the 500 free (5:25.16) at both meets, the 200 IM (2:23.06) at both meets and the 100 back (1:06.93) and 200 free relay (1:47.35) versus St. Vincent.

December 3

Women-Ohio Northern freshman Hannah Bukowy (North Canton/Hoover) led the Polar Bears at the Wooster Invitational last week. Bukowy placed second in the 100 breast (1:08.91) and third in the 200 breast (2:34.45). She also finished fourth in the 200 medley relay (1:53.55) and fifth in the 400 medley relay (4:12.94). The team placed seventh of 11 teams.

December 10

Wilmington junior Christy Clark (Xenia) led the Quakers against Ohio Wesleyan last week with a first place finish in the 100 freestyle (1:08.07) and a second place finish in the 200 freestyle (2:28.31) and 200 medley relay (2:16.81).

January 14

Ohio Northern sophomore Kim Randall (Milford) led the Polar Bears past Oberlin, Mount Union and Notre Dame with a total of nine first place finishes last weekend. She place first in the 200 medley relay (1:54.19), the 200 freestyle (2:03.05) and the 400 free relay (3:52.42) against Oberlin. Against Mount Union, Randall placed first in the 200 medley relay (1:54.17), the 200 freestyle (2:03.05) and the 200 free relay (1:46.89). Against Notre Dame, the third meet of the weekend, she placed first in the 200 medley relay (1:57.09), the 500 freestyle (5:33.81) and the 200 free relay (1:48.35).

January 21

Ohio Northern sophomore Terri Lynn Shigle (Irwin, PA/Penn-Trafford) helped to lead the Polar Bears past Case with a first place finish in the one-meter dive (227.50) and the three-meter dive (172.50) last week. She also placed first in both one-meter diving events in a victory over Baldwin-Wallace.

January 28

Athletic Photo

John Carroll senior Kim Kern helped to lead the Blue Streaks past Baldwin-Wallace last week with three first place finishes.  Kern placed first in the 200 medley relay (1:56.20), the 100 fly (1:02.95) and the 100 back (1:07.07).
