January 15, 2018 Sydney Veon, Ohio Northern Veon led the Polar Bears in a 160-120 win over Mount Union on Sunday afternoon, posting victories in four events. Veon won the 100 breast in 1:08.63 and the 50 free in :25.66 and the 100 free in :56.56. Veon was also part of the winning 200-meter medley relay team.
December 11, 2017 Lauren Oktavec, Mount Union Oktavec recorded two wins to led the Purple Raiders against St. Vincent (Pa.) last week. Oktavec won the 50 yard backstroke with a time of 29.70 and the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:16.50.
December 4, 2017 Gwyn Ledrick, John Carroll Ledrick helped the Blue Streaks repeat as the Blue Devil Invite champions with two first place finsihes. Ledrick won the 100 breastroke (1:06.39) and set the school record in the 200 breaststroke (2:22.65). She also swam on the first place 200 medley relay (1:50.84).
November 20, 2017 Kierra Watson-Ohio Northern Watson won the 100 back in 1:04.19 and the 200 back in 2:20.17 to lead the Polar Bears to a win over Wittenberg last week. Wastson also finished third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:24.52.
November 13, 2017 Carmen Ferrante, John Carroll Ferrante helped the Blue Streaks to a win over Ohio Northrn by taking first place in the 100 freestyle (55.2) and second place in the 200 freestyle (02:01.4). She swam the fouth leg on the winning 400 free relay (3:45.58, 55.75). This is the second time Ferrante has earned athlete of the week honors this season.
November 6, 2017 Carly Adams, John Carroll Adams won two indivdual events to help lead the Blue Streaks past Mount Union. She captured first in both the 100 and 200 backstroke and swam the backstroke leg on the winning 400 Medley Relay.
October 30, 2017 Carmen Ferrante, John Carroll errante won two individual events and one relay to help the Blue Streaks to a win over Div. III Ashland. Ferrante won the 100 breaststroke (01:10.1), 200 breaststroke 02:33.3 and swam breaststroke leg on the first place 200 medley relay.
October 23, 2017 Dana Lautenschleger, Mount Union Against Malone, Lautenschleger won the 1000 yard freestyle (11:00.04), 500 yard freestyle (5:23.84), and was the anchor of the 200 yard freestyle relay where the team swam a 1:45.60 with her split being 25.74. -Versus Hiram, Lautenschleger won as a member of the 200 yard medley relay where the team swam in 1:57.62 while she led off the race with a split of 29.16, and a member of the 400 yard freestyle relay (4:02.14) with a split of 27.81. She also won the 200 yard freestyle (2:01.80) and 100 yard freestyle (57.85).
February 2, 2017 Amanda Cassamatta, John Carroll Cassamatta won the 50 free (25.08), 100 IM (01:07.5) and was part of the of the winning 200 medley relay team (01:54.1) to help lead the Blue Streaks pat Wilmington to remain undefeated against OAC competitio
January 9, 2017 Allie Thorson, Baldwin Wallace Thorson won the 500-yard freestyle and was the runner-up in the 100-yard individual medley in BW's loss to Widener (Pa.) University last Friday during its annual Florida training trip. She captured the 500-free with a time of 5:29.45 and placed second in the 100-IM with a career-best time of 1:06.41.
December 5, 2016 Ally Roskos, Manchester Roskos won the Illinois Tech Ted Eriksen Invitational five and six dive one-meter competitions with 356.9 points combined to defeat the field by more than 50 points. She tallied 208.4 points in her six dives and 148.5 points in her five dive.
November 21, 2016 Elise Pichola, Mount Union Pichola won three events to help lead the Purple Raiders past Baldwin Wallace last week. Pichola placed first in the 50 yard freestyle (26.04), the 100 yard freestyle (56.68) and was part of the winning the 400 yard medley relay (4:15.97)
November 14, 2016 Maddie Dolce, John Carroll Dolce helped the Blue Streaks defeat Ohio Wesleyan for the fifth consecutive time with three first place finishes. Dolce touched first in the 1000 freestyle by over 24 seconds (11:08.5), the 200 backstroke by over six second (2:15.7) and was part of the winning 400 free relay (3:48.4).
November 7, 2016 Carly Adams, John Carroll Adams contributed 38 points and four victories as JCU defeated Mount Union. She finished first in the 400 IM with a time of 4:47.3, first in the 200 back with a time of 2:10.4 and finished first in the 100 back with a time of 1:01.0. Adams also swam the backstroke leg of the 200 Medley Relay.
October 31, 2016 Jenna Latsko, John Carroll Latsko won three events to help the Blue Steaks post a 223-73 win over Ohio Northern. Latsko touched first in the 100 breast in 01:08.6, the 200 breast in 02:28.6 and the 200 IM in 02:14.4.
February 1, 2016 Amanda Casamatta, John Carroll John Carroll junior Amanda Casamatta (Chardon) won the 200-meter free (2:18.6) and was part of the winning 200-meter medley relay and 400-meter free relay teams to help lead the Blue Streaks past Wilmington.
January 25, 2016 Lindsey Fano, John Carroll John Carroll senior Lindsey Fano (Boulder, Co./Fairview) led the Blue Streaks past Hiram and Baldwin Wallace last week. Against Hiram, Fano was part of the winning 200 meter medley relay (2:12.4) and 200 meter free relay (2:00.5) and touched second in the 200 meter freestyle (2:21.5). Fano took first in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:30.6) and was a member of the winning 200 yard medley relay (1:51.7) and 200 free relay (1:45.6) at home against Baldwin Wallace. January 18, 2016 Dana Lautenschleger, Mount Union Mount Union sophomore Dana Lautenschleger (Solon/Solon) led the Purple Raiders in their win against Ohio Northern and their loss against Wooster. She won the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:54.85 and the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:19.27 in the loss against Wooster. Lautenschleger helped the Raiders defeat Ohio Northern for the first time since 2001-02 season by winning the 200 yard freestyle (2:00.25) and the 200 yard backstroke (2:11.31). December 14, 2015 Regina Saxon, Mount Union Mount Union freshman Regina Saxon (Hudson) led the Purple Raiders to a 139-123 win over St. Vincent (Pa.). Saxon won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.99 and the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:32.28.
December 7, 2015 Dana Lautenschleger, Mount Union Mount Union sophomore Dana Lautenschleger (Solon) led the Purple Raiders to fourth place at the College of Wooster Invitational. Lautenschleger placed first in the 500 yard freestyle (5:05.47). She also won and broke the school record in the 1000 yard freestyle (10:31.3) and the 1650 yard freestyle (17:27.0).Lautenschleger was also a part of the first place 200 yard medley relay and the 400 yard medley. November 23, 2015 Carly Adams, John Carroll John Carrol sophomore Carly Adams (Hopkinton, MA) took first in six out of her seven events over weekend to help lead the Blue Streaks to wins over Allegheny (120-119) and Mount Union (157-140). Against Allegheny, Adams won the 400 IM (4:45.8), 100 back (1:01.1) and was part of the 200 medley relay (1:53.2). November 16, 2015 Maddie Fortune, Baldwin Wallace Baldwin Wallace senior Maddie Fortune (Akron/Firestone) helped the Yellow Jackets to a 110-77 victory against Penn State-Behrend (Pa.) College on Saturday with a victory in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. Fortune won the 1-meter with a score of 225.95. October 26, 2015 Rose Aldo, Mount Union Mount Union senior Rose Aldo (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) won five events last week to help the Purple Raiders to wins over Malone and Hiram. Against Malone, Aldo won the 50 yard freestyle (26.36) and the 100 yard freestyle (56.68). February 2, 2015 Julia Johnson Transylvania Transylvania sophomore Julia Johnson (Ft. Mitchell, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) led the Pioneers past Campbellsville with first place finishes in the 200 fly (2:16.90) and 200 backstroke (2:15.50). Johnson was also part of the winning 200 medley relay team (1:54.50).

December 8, 2014 Jill Chapman, Ohio Northern Ohio Northern sophomore Jill Chapman (Sandusky/Perkins) set four school records and surpassed the NCAA "B" Cut in two events to lead the Polar Bears to a seventh place finish at The College of Wooster Invitational. She finished third in the 100 free in a school record time of :52.27, breaking the previous mark set in 1988. Chapman won the 50 free in :23.22, setting a meet record, the school record set in 2009 and surpassing the NCAA "B" Cut. Chapman also swam the anchor leg of the 200 free relay, which finished second, setting a school record and reaching the NCAA “B” cut with a time of 1:35.89. Chapman also anchored the 200-yard medley relay team that won in a school record time of 1:46.71.
