2012 OAC Women's Golf Championship
Austintown, Ohio-The 2012 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Women’s Golf Championship will take on Saturday-Sunday, April 28-29 at Foxfire Golf Course in Lockbourne, Ohio.
Baldwin-Wallace captured the 2011 Championship, the first time since 2001, with a score of 671. Otterbein finished in second place with 674 strokes, followed by Ohio Northern (685), Mount Union (697), Capital (751), John Carroll (760), Muskingum (804) and Wilmington (819).
The Yellow Jackets will look to repeat as OAC Champions, with the return of four top-10 finishers from a year ago. Leading the way will be sophomore Miranda Cunningham (Dayton/Dayton Christian), who tied for fourth place, along with teammate junior Rebecca Kapusta (Independence) with a score of 167. Sophomore Emilee Woolf (Ravenna) shot a 168 to tie for seventh place, followed by junior Brooke Hamilton (Cleveland/St. Joseph Academy), who tied for ninth place with a score of 169.
The All-OAC teams will be voted on by the League coaches following the conclusion of the tournament and will consist of 15 members, with five on the first team, five on the second team and five receiving honorable mention.
