Baldwin-Wallace Women’s Tennis loses to Depauw in NCAA Tournament

Berea, OH- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's tennis team ended the best season in school history on Saturday, May 5, 2007when it lost, 5-0, to top-seeded DePauw (Ind.) University in the second round of the Central Regional Tournament of the 2007 NCAA Division III Tournament at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
The Yellow Jackets ended the season with a school -record 25 wins and a 25-3 record. B-W made its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III National Tournament and won its first-ever NCAA Tournament match.
The Yellow Jackets won both the 2007 Ohio Athletic Conference regular season (9-0) and Tournament titles (3-0). The 25 victories is a single-season school-record and surpassed the previous mark of 19 set in 2004-2005.The 9-0 OAC regular season mark is B-W's second-ever with the first coming in 1999 and its regular season title is its first-ever.
Senior number one singles player Andrea Isaac (New Philadelphia) had a 43-1 record against OAC opponents and ended her career with a school-record 88 career wins and an 88-19 overall record, including a 25-9 slate this season.
Isaac and junior number four player Meggie Glassburn (Canton/ Jackson) set a school-record with 29 doubles wins and were 29-5 overall this season. The duo won 72 matches as a combination the past three seasons. Glassburn was 25-5 in singles this season and stands fourth all-time with 57 career wins.
Junior number three player Tiffany Allison (Chagrin Falls/ Kenston) had a team-high 26 wins this season and ended the season on a 25-match winning streak. She enters her senior season third all-time in victories with 58.
In Glassburn's 130 career combination wins are third all-time and Allison's 109 are fifth. Freshman number two player Britney Shy (Euclid) ended her first collegiate season with a 25-2 record, including 23 straight wins. Her 25 singles wins are a school mark for freshmen.
The B-W women are 58-16 during the past three seasons for a .792 winning percentage.
