Marietta Softball Earns At-Large Bid toNCAA Tournament

      Marietta, OH — The Marietta College softball team is returning to the NCAA Tournament. Head Coach Jeanne Arbuckle was given the news early Monday (May 7) morning that her Lady Pioneers earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

     Marietta (32-10), who placed runners-up in the 2007 OAC Tournament on May 5, will make its second trip to the postseason and first since 1996. The Lady Pioneers will be the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic Regional and will play the No. 7 seed Lynchburg (Va.) Thursday (May 10) at 4 p.m. in Fayetteville, N.C.
