Women's Soccer:  Players-of-the-Week

Thursday November 15, 2007

September 4-Wilmington senior midfielder Jackie Borda (Dayton/Northmont) helped to lead the Quakers to a 2-0 record last week. Borda scored two goals in Wilmington’s 3-1 win over RIT and added an assist in the 2-1 win over Allegheny.

 

September 10-Ohio Northern sophomore midfielder Angie Pisut (Huber Hts./Carroll) recorded a hat trick on seven shots in the Polar Bears’ 6-3 victory over Ohio Wesleyan last week.

SW September 11-Muskingum freshman forward Sarah Watson (Gahanna/Lincoln) recorded a hat trick in the Muskies’ 3-0 victory over Carlow College last week.

September 24-Baldwin-Wallace junior forward Allie Wojtkun (North Olmsted/Magnificat) recorded a hat trick in the Yellow Jackets’ 3-1 victory over Hiram last week. Wojtkun also assisted on both goals in their 2-0 victory at Westminster.

October 1

Ohio Northern senior goalkeeper Barbie Krieger (West Chester/Lakota East) allowed just one goal, while picking up her second shutout of the season against John Carroll last week. She record 19 saves on the week, including a season-high 11 against Wittenberg.

October 8

Ohio Northern junior midfielder Erin Stapp (Willoughby/South) scored one goal in the Polar Bears’ 6-0 win over Heidelberg and then added two more goals and one assist in their 4-0 win over Marietta to finish the week at 2-0.

October 15

Ohio Northern sophomore forward Jamie Eiben (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) tallied two goals and one assist to lead the Polar Bear’s to a perfect 2-0 record last week.

Capital freshman forward Paige Prescott (Murfreesboro, TN/ Siegel) scored the game-winning goals in each of the Crusaders’ OAC shutout victories last week.

October 29

Otterbein senior midfielder  Chanel Smith (Dublin/Scioto) tallied three goals and added one assist to lead the Cardinals to a 2-0 record last week and earn the number three seed in the OAC Tournament.
