November 19

Women-Wilmington senior post Katie Streck (Dayton/Carroll) led the Quakers in the Damon’s/Wilmington Inn Tipoff with 25 points and 10.5 rebounds-per-game, while adding two steals and allowing only one turnover. Streck shot 71% from the field (17-of-24) and was 88% from the line (15-of-17)

November 26

Otterbein junior guard Laura Roth (Cincinnati/Mother of Mercy) led the Cardinals in the Methodist Tournament with 45 points (22.5 ppg). Roth was 16-of-30 from the field, six-of-nine from the line and seven-of-17 from the three-point line.

She also tallied eight assists and ten steals.  For her efforts, she was named to the All-Tournament team.

December 3

Capital junior forward Caitlin Elsass (Batavia/Clermont Northeastern) scored 20 points in the Crusaders overtime win against Baldwin-Wallace and then added a game-high 21 points in Capital’s win over nationally ranked Washington (Mo.) last week.  Elsass was 17-of-29 from the field and seven-of-ten from the foul line for the week. She also tallied 13 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal.

December 10

JM

Muskingum junior post Jessica McKenzie (Hopewell/West Muskingum) recorded her third double-double of the season with 15 points  and 15 rebounds en route to leading the Muskies past Otterbein last week. McKenzie shot 77% from the field and added six assists and two steals.

December 17

Capital sophomore guard Kristen Richardson (Oxford/Talawanda) led the Crusader past Muskingum last week with a game-high 21 points. She shot .778 (seven-of-nine) from the field, .867 (two-of-three) from the three-point line and .833 (five-of-six) from the free-throw line. Richardson also added eight rebounds, four steals and two blocks.

January 2

Capital junior guard Caitlin Graessle (Galloway/Bishop Ready) led the Crusader to an 80-70 win over Defiance last week with 38 points. She hit 13-of-17 from the field, was five-of-seven from the line and was seven-of-10 from the three-point line. Graessle also added four rebounds, four steals, one block and one assists.

January 7

Capital junior guard Heather McAlpin (Cincinnati/Colerain) had a season-high and team-best 16 points in the Crusaders 90-51 win over Marietta last week. She shot seven-of-12 from the field and was two-of-three from the free-throw line. McAlpin also contributed seven rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks.

January 14

Ohio Northern senior guard Jenny Markle (Fairlawn/Copley) scored a game-high 19 points on five-of-eight from three-point range in the Polar Bears 66-51 victory over number 23 Wilmington last Wednesday. She then scored 11 points and was three-of-five from three-point range, which included scoring the game’s last five points in the final 31 seconds to secure a 51-48 win over number 24 Capital.  Markel also tallied five assist, six steals and one block on the week.

January 21

John Carroll freshman guard Lee Jennings (Stow) tallied a collegiate-best 28 points in the Blue Streaks 80-73 win over nationally ranked Baldwin-Wallace, then scored 18 points and made the game-winning basket with 1.7 seconds left in a 69-67 win over Wilmington. On the week, Jennings tallied 46 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, six steals and one block.

January 28

Ohio Northern junior guard Alisha Rinehart (Lime/Perry) scored 20 points and dished out a career-high seven assists off the bench in an 82-64 win over Marietta last week. She also tallied two steals and one block without committing a turnover in 27 minutes of play.

February  4

Baldwin-Wallace sophomore forward Serena Farage (Medina/Buckeye) helped to lead the Yellow Jackets to a perfect 2-0 record last week, shooting a remarkable 100 percent from the field (11-of-11), tallying 26 points, eight rebound, one steal and two blocks.

February 11

Otterbein junior guard Laura Roth (Cincinnati/Mother of Mercy) led the Cardinals to a perfect 2-0 record last week. On the week Roth tallied 37 points, shooting nine-of-ten from the free-throw line and six-of-13 from the three-point line. She also added 11 assists, five steals and four rebounds.

February 16

Wilmington senior forward Gina Hyle (Lawrenceburg, Ind./McAuley) put together back-to-back double-doubles as Quakers posted wins over Ohio Northern and Mount Union to pull into second place in the OAC standings last week. Hyle hit 57 percent of her shots from the field and 60 percent of her three-point attempts. She averaged 15 points, 10 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 1.5 assists per game.

February 25

Otterbein senior guard Sara Fee (Bryan) led the Cardinals past Capital, 63-62, last week. With three seconds left and Otterbein trailing 62-60, Fee drove the ball up and hit a half-court shot as time expired. The victory enable the Cardinals to host a first-round game in the OAC Tournament as the number four seed. Fee tallied 26 points, 14 rebounds, six assists one steal on the week.
