Men's Golf:  Golfers-of-the-Week

March 24

Baldwin-Wallace sophomore Nick Bryan (Zanesville/ Rosecrans) led the way as the Yellow Jackets defeated Calvin (Mich.), 326-345, in a dual match at The Claw Golf Club in Tampa, Florida. He carded a 77 on the 6,863-yard and par-71 layout to place first among 14 golfers.

March 31

Muskingum senior Tony O’Linn (Beverly/Fort Frye) led the Muskies with a 145 (73-71) to finish tied for fourth at the Muskingum Spring Invitational. O'Linn recorded the second most birdies (eight) in the 66-player field and was tied for the tournament lead in par three scoring at even and ranked eighth in par four scoring.

April 7

Heidelberg sophomore Zack Koinis (Vermillion) won the Capital Purple and White Invitational last week to earn the first medalist honor for the Berg since 2004. Koinis shot 73 in the first round and 75 in the second for a total score of 148 (+4 par) on the weekend.

Baldwin-Wallace senior Matt Lewis (Canal Fulton/Northwest) earned medalist honors at last weekend’s 54-hole OAC Invitational Tournament, hosted by Muskingum College, at the River Greens Golf Club. Lewis carded rounds of 73, 73 and a season-low 72 for a 218-stroke total.

Mount Union freshman Lucas Murray (East Sparta/Canton South) earned medalist honors at the Ohio Northern Polar Bear Invitational at the Colonial Golfers Club on Saturday after beating two other players in a scorecard playoff.  His score of 146 (73-73) to set a new Ohio Northern Invitational record.
