John Carroll senior forward Terry Walsh (Lakewood/St. Ignatius) lead the Blue Streaks to a 2-0 record last week at the Albright College Wyndham Tipoff. Walsh averaged 24.5 points-per-game, added 8.5 rebounds-per-game and tallied four assists and five steals. He shot 17 of 43 from the field and was ten of 12 from the line and contributed five from the three point line. Walsh hit the game-winning shot at the buzzer in the championship game. Walsh was named MVP for his efforts.

Otterbein senior forward Ross Banaszak (Delaware/Rutherford B. Hayes) led the Cardinals against Emory and Henry last week with 41 points. He was 15-of-25 from the field, eight-of-ten from the line and three-of-six from the three-point line. Banaszak also added ten assists and six steals and five rebounds.

Wilmington sophomore post Brandon Rogers (Xenia) led the Quakers past Thomas More and Heidelberg to raise the team’s record to 6-0 last week. Rogers scored 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds against Thomas More and poured in a career-high 26 points and nine rebounds against Heidelberg. He shot 73% from the field and 80% from the foul line and three-point line for the week. Rogers also added two assist and two steals without committing a turnover.

Heidelberg senior center Brian Schmidt (Hickley/Brunswick) led the Berg past Mount Union and Ohio Northern last week, while recording two double-doubles. Against ONU, Schmidt scored 24 points and added 13 rebounds. He also added 12 points and 11 rebounds versus Mount Union. On the week, Schmidt shot 56% from the field and added 12 assists, seven steals and four blocks.

Ohio Northern senior guard Kyle Gehle (Versailles) led the Polar Bears past Otterbein and John Carroll last week.
He scored a career-high 37 points and set a single-game record of 23 free throws made against John Carroll. On the week Gehle tallied 52 points, nine rebounds and shot 86% (25-of-29) from the free-throw line.

Baldwin-Wallace senior guard Brendan Schuler (Fairview Park/Fairview) led the Yellow Jackets to a 1-1 record at the Franklin Invitational last week. He scored 26 points in their 78-71 loss to Aurora and added 24 points in their 82-65 win over Earlham. In two games, Schuler tallied 50 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists and three steals. For his efforts, he was named to the all-tournament team.
Marietta junior guard Isaiah Creasap (Wooster/Triway) led the Pioneers to a 2-0 record at the 37th Annual Marietta Shrine Tournament last week. Creasap set a tournament single-game record with eight three-pointers in their 95-85 win over Grove City and also tied a single-game record by hitting 10-of-10 from the free-throw line in their 98-55 win over Waynesburg. In two games, Creasap tallied 50 points and seven assists. For his efforts, he was named Tournament MVP.

Muskingum senior guard Brandon Todd (Cambridge) helped to lead the Muskies to a 2-0 record last week, averaging 23.5 points, 10.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and two steals per game. He scored a career-high 34 points and added a career-high 12 assists against Baldwin-Wallace, which included hitting four three-pointers.

Capital junior wing Ryan Wood (Pickerington/Pickerington Central) has helped lead the Crusaders to a perfect 8-0 conference record so far this season. On the week, Wood shot .556 (10-of-18) from the field, .889 (eight-of-nine) from the free-throw line and .625 (five-of-eight) from three-point range. In two games, he tallied 33 points, two rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block. Wood scored 28 of his 33 points in his career-high performance in the Crusaders’ 99-90 victory over Heidelberg.

Wells contributed six three pointers, tallied a total of 27 points, three rebounds, one assist and two steals without committing a turnover.

Ohio Northern sophomore forward Kyle Meyer (Columbus Grove) led the Polar Bears to two victories last week. In their win over John Carroll, Meyer scored 19 points, shot five-of-six from the floor and nine-of-nine from the free-throw line. He also added eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal. Meyer then added 23 points, shot eight-of-nine from the floor and seven-of-eight from the free-throw line, while adding one assist, one steal and one blocked shot in their victory over Otterbein.

Men- Heidelberg senior forward Andrew Lemmon (Port Clinton) in a 2-0 week for the Berg, averaged a double-double at 23 points and 15.5 rebounds per game, to go along with four steals, two assists and a block. On Wednesday, Lemmon helped guide Heidelberg to an 80-74 win at nationally-ranked Capital. He finished with 13 points and 18 rebounds. The win over No. 8 Capital was the first victory over a nationally-ranked opponent for Heidelberg since 2005. Lemmon’s play also helped to lock up a second place finish in the league standings for the Berg.
